I just started AC about 15 days ago. so far it has been good. I have Fujitsu scansnap S1500 and scan old documents to a file called scanned images in pdf format. How do I attach the document to patient file in AC?

My employees scan to the 'scan folder' and change the name of the file to the patient's name. When the scanning is done, they open the scan folder and drag and drop them onto the AC window with the "imported items" tab selected. You can drop them into specific categories or create new ones.

Importing files to patient file in AC
1. Via Fujitsu scansnap - files stored in SCANNED IMAGES
- Open AC and patient file
- IMPORT ITEMS > Browse for items> look for SCANNED IMAGES folder > choose the file you want to import > Import items
Hope this helps- if you run into any problems let us know

Can't you just drag and drop them? The Fujitsu comes with Adobe Acrobat, full version, so it should be creating PDF's just fine. Check your settings on the scanner menu and make sure not saving as JPG files.

Happy Veterans Day everyone and a special thank you to our Vets.

There are a few ways to import items into a patients chart.

To see these options open a patients chart to the Imported Items tab.

Click the button that says Import New.

Here you can import from a file already on your computer. This is just a browse to the file.

Or you can Import a file right from your scanner into the patients chart. The scanner will need to have TWAIN drives and be connected to that computer with an usb connection.

You may also import from your Practice Documents Library. Practice documents are added in the Administrator Options Area.

The last option is to import directly from a Midmark device for ECGs, Holter or Spirometer testing.

One thing to remember is the computer you are viewing an imported item on has to have the program installed to handle the type of item you are trying viewing.

More information on importing can be found from Help at the top of the Main Amazing Charts screen. There look for contents. Once in the content section click on The Patient Chart and choose imported Items.

If you need further assistance with importing please give us a call or email techsupport@amazingcharts.com.
