I am unable to find simple education material, written for a common Joe in a easy, concise & understandable language.

I discuss many issues during the office visit, but providing them some written material in above mentioned format would help.

Which education materials have you found helpful for your patients & how much do they cost ?

Thanks & regards

If you have a website, try vivicare.com . They have a little library that can be added to your website. You can even add your own items to it.

The Merck Medicus website also has patient handouts on many subjects that you can customize with your practice information. You do have to register but not a big deal.

UpToDate has some excellent resources. You can access that through the decision support button when the patient chart is open.

Prescriber's Letter has several patient handouts as well. I use several of these and have them saved in my Documents in Amazing Charts and can print out at anytime.

I find www.mdconsult.com very helpful. It has English and Spanish versions of patient education material. You can customize the information. The website offers a lot more, including medline search and acces to books.
