You can make templets in Assessment field to do what you are looking for. It populates fields for billing ( I use x link and medisoft). However it does not enter into problem list and therefore it will not show up as diagnosis in lab/x ray order. It will mess up Meaningful use calculations. So use caution.
Are you speaking about finding diagnosis (ICD) codes for the note, or selecting the CPT codes on the Sign-Off page?
If the former, you can - in V6 and higher - just enter the code into the Search Field that is located above the Assessment textbox. For the latter, the Search CPT tab on the Sign-Off page allows you to enter the code.
