The above was posted last summer. Anyone know if a solution has been found? The Quick Script Writer (which I don't use) has 'duration' as an option, but I think that is just to calculate the quantity prescribed... but let me know if I'm wrong.
My only other solution (besides inactivating them at the subsequent visit) is to inactivate it seconds after transmitting it, but I'd like an auto-inactivation if possible.

I couldn't agree more. The quick script writer MAKES you choose a time limit which is terrible for pts on chronic meds. For that reason I don't use it. I have to delete someones Amoxicillin multiple times a day because clearly it is not a chronic med but there is no way to have it go away on it's own. Unless this has already been fixed in V6, it is a fairly significant over site in the AC Rx system.
