Hi, all! We are using UpDox for importing our faxes and labs. Currently, the MU measure re: labs as structured data is not grabbing any lab we receive. Any help on trouble shooting the issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Labs have 2 requirements -
They must be discrete data so that the program can search for lab name and values, eg search for hgba1c and then look up all over 7. If you import them from Updox you are basically importing an image file - you can search for name as you name them but they are not discrete.
Even if they are discrete then apparently there are different electronic codes that must also be attached - mine are from PAML and currently all come in as discrete data but do do not have those codes called LOINC codes and so it does not count for that MU.

So does this mean that the only labs that count are those brought in via an interface with Lab Corp, Quest, etc?
Here is what "How to do it in AC" says: "Any labs that are imported as structured data via one of our lab interfaces are automatically counted toward this criteria. Lab data that is brought into Amazing Charts in any other way (scanned, faxed, etc) count against the criteria (add to the denominator but not the numerator)."
How does AC know how to count the number of patients with labs that are brought in by other means?
Steven, would you mind describing how you met this criteria?

Does this mean we should not be using UpDox to manage all of our documentation? It seems counterproductive if it is going to count against us for MU.

I did not choose this menu item as one I did since LOINC codes were not on my structured labs even though they are structured and should be fine they were not counted - this also prevented some CQMs from working as the lab for diabetics, etc were not being counted.

I have similar issue. My lab corp downloads are not being counted in 6.0.1 for MU structured data. How do we fix this? Also do I understand that if we scan in paper labs in to imports this is somehow counted against us?

Hi how do you guys enter U/A( urine dip results from the clinic , not a lab report..) results in AC? We too are having an issue with this. How do you add Clia-waived labs into AC? It's driving our MA nuts as she has to gather all data from imported items and our in-office labs to mail to the patients. It's created three times the amount of work for her which is expressly unfair. I love the lab interfaces because in one month we've almost got our MU quota (literally two more days and we'll hit it) and it's so much easier to read/see/get doctor to comment on. But it's made the Clia labs harder to deal with (or count for MU). What do you guys do?

Paper lab reports scanned it attached with category "others" or "Consult". This way it wont get counted against you for MU.
