Does anyone know why the Additional Comments box on the Medication List contains the same blurb as the Notes to the pharmacist on the prescription window?
I make a lot of reminder notes, patient instruction notes...etc. on the Additional Comments but I don't want this to go to the pharmacist when I refill a prescription. Shouldn't there be separate boxes?

bisaya,

Hi. What is your first name?

Can you explain that more in detail. I must have completely missed the Additional Comments box. Where is it?

Hi Bert, I'm Carl.
The Additional Comments box is found when you double click a medication from the medication list. I find this very convenient as a place to save notes about a particular medication. For instance, I would note that I need to "monitor LFTs closely" or I "instructed patient to lower the dose to___ on such date______."
Problem is that the comments I leave in this box also appears as the "Notes to the Pharmacist" when I open the prescription box when prescribing said medication. Since I don't really want to send this info to the pharmacist, I end up erasing these notes when I prescribe the drug.
I would really like to retain these comments/notes. I would suggest that in the Prescription window, in addition to the Notes to the Pharmacist there should be another Comments box

Hi Carl,

What version are you on? I still can't get it to do that?

Bert,

I use version 6.0.10

In think in version 5.0.29, on the prescription window, the box was not titled, "Note to Pharmacist"
I think it was either just Notes or Comment(not really sure)

Yes, you are right. Now it says Note to pharmacist. But, double-clicking on the med doesn't bring up a window to type a note.
