I am trying to set up our new network, in my new office. I've been using AC from my laptop via logmein to my main computer. Now that we are cozy in the new office, I'm a trying to just use the network. I've not been able to get AC to connect to the main database.
Since I have not used AC on the laptops, do I need to uninstall and reinstall to get them to connect to the main computer?
I am still using Version 5.1.7
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks,
Barbara

Hi Barbara,
Try going to "Amazing Utilities" (Start menu to AC to Amazing Utilities). At the bottom of the Utilities screen is an option to reset path.
Good luck! Gene

I can think of no reason other than a corrupt install to uninstall and install. Gene is right, but basically if you open AC on a computer which is on a network, it will look for the database on the local computer first. You will get the window which allows you to browse to the database. You would, of course, browse to the main computer and click on the xml file which would then connect you.
At times, especially the first time, you may have to right click on the AC executable file and run as administrator, which is silly but, nonetheless, required.
