Sanofi has released a flu vaccine that is given intradermally. The CPT Code is 90654. Is this code in V6.0.10? its not in v6.0.9 which I am running and we need to be able to bill for it.

It is not: but have you tried adding the code yourself? Modify/Add code under tools in Admin.

I must admit that I had not tried that. But I will now.

Thanks for the tip.

Hope it works out.
We hesitated with this ourselves, but have found several patients have already inquired about it already this year.

Anyone know what the cost of the product is, minimum quantity to purchase, how much Medicare and other privates are paying for it compared to cost to obtain it???? And does this mean there is or is NOT any sort of an Admin fee to combine with such a vaccine administered??? It is not a subque injection that's for sure, so is there a new code for this as well or not. And either way what does that do to the bottom line when any and all codes are billed properly as compared to our hassle and costs????

Thanks,
Paul

When we were quoted a price for the mimimal amount, it was $2 more per dose.. you would still use the 90471/G0008 codes.. it covers admin, regardless of route of injection.

As far as payment from insurance: not 100% since we declined. We have had only one patient ask about the intradermal vaccine from the hundreds we have given. Maybe next year.

We ordered 10 doses (the minimum we could) just to try out.
Have already given a couple of these - if I can remember to do so, will try and post my reimbursement information here.

My biller claims the code 90654 does not exist. Has anyone been paid on this?
