Hello - All our client machines are Win XP. Recently upgraded to V6. Since then eRx is much (much) slower than when we were on V5. Support folks made me change the hardware accelaration setting. Still performance did not improve much. Any ideas how we make this faster.
For comparision purposes there is no perceptible difference performance degradation.
Any ideas or tips for us to get this eRx faster.
Thanks Sekhar

Sorry, I meant to say no perceptible performance degradation in functionality other than eRx.
Thanks Sekhar Athens, GA

I think we are all tipped out. There must be over 200 posts on how to possibly make v6 faster in that area.

I wonder if AC support has some ideas? They are certainly not going to tell just anybody!

Support folks made me change the hardware accelaration setting. Did you completely disable it or just turn the slider half way?

The sad thing is given the hardware acceleration seems to work for some, it was Sandeep that discovered it. Now support uses it. Kind of ironic.

Sandeep - I completely disabled hardware accelaration. Before I disabled hardware accelaration, AC would crash everytime we tried to write a prescription. Sekhar

What OS is installed on your "main" computer?
What are the system specs of that computer?

At least it is usable right? Ha. My next suggestion would be to adjust your computer for best performance. Part 1 of the guide: http://sluthra.x10.bz/v6_tut.html and Part 3 to make it a little easier on your eyes.

We just bought a used Dell XP machine and it appears I'm having the same problem with it being slow. I tried Sandeep's link but it's not working anymore. Where in Windows does one adjust the hardware acceleration?

Please disregard my last post, I found where to disable the hardware acceleration.
It did speed it up a bit but not as nice as my shiny new laptop running Windows 7.
