When we open an Imported Item in a chart that is stored as a PDF (having Adobe Reader as the default reader for this type of file), it opens fine. If want to maximize the window to get a better view of the PDF, it freezes AC (not responding) and the only way out is to close AC. An Adobe icon also shows up in the task bar, but with no info in it. If you maximize the window BEFORE you open the PDF, it works fine.
Opening a PDF outside of AC and resizing gives no problem.
Any else seen this or have any thoughts on it?

I just did the maneuver you described several times in Imported Items, and no freezing.
I suggest upgrading to Adobe 10 Reader, since I had multiple crashes and quirky behavior in Imported Items with Reader 9. If you already have Reader 10, then a work-around is to right click on the imported item that you wish to enlarge, and choose "Open (in Default Application)", which will open the document outside of the Amazing Charts window.

John,
Yes, we are running Adobe 10. And yes, the provider knows of the work-around, but she forgets to do it and once she has done it wrong, it is already frozen.
I have tried it on 4 different computers and have the same problem. We are running AC 6.0.10.
Thanks for the info, but....

Sometimes the imported items area acts strangely (e.g. with Adobe and Excel, as in multiple other threads). To those of you having this issue; do you IMPORT all of your items, or do you sometimes "drag and drop" them into AC?

We had the same issue when we first went to V6. However, I just lowered the screen resolution on our workstations and that fixed it for us.
Hope that helps!
