Since we got v6, once the staff imports the items and I sign off using admin/tools the messages in my inbox are not deleting automatically.

And it used to in older versions.

I have to manually multiple item delete all the items every day - that is triple work cutting down efficiency. (I have already seen the paper before giving to staff to import, I sign off as before and now I have to delete).

Tech support says a large number of users requested this feature. I find it strange that users after signing off, would still want the message to still be in inbox. Can't believe that.

I believe it is a bug.

Do you have the same issues?

I can't either. I find it unbelieveable that AC would put much of anything into the newest version because users wanted it.

Any answers to this yet? I find it very time consuming to sign off under the Admin/Tools, just to find it still in my outbox, and in my Dr's inbox. What a pain. I can't run from pc to pc to sign off each individual item. I have been online with tech support twice, for over an hour and a half, and have gotten no help at all. (They were confused about why the dr wouldn't want it in his inbox! Hmmm...duh, because he needs to see the IMPORTANT things!) I swear I knew more about AC than the tech support people. It's very frustrating, makes it hard for me to do my job, and the only pc that can delete the files is the main pc (which is needed for scheduling and billing, not taking a ten minute break every 25 items scanned to sign off). I find this irritating, and a major inconvenience that NEEDS to be fixed!

I too find it very annoying to have to go through the administrator window to sign-off in bulk.
Just recently updated to v6 (from v3), and what used to be easy (double clicking any "sign-off" message would open a new window where bulk-sign off was 2 clicks), now is more work... as is nearly everything involved in writing a note compared to the old version.

Joseph, klink, and Chris: could you elaborate on how this issue arises a little more, please?
I sign-off multiple items each day without any change in V6. I have used the "Admin sign-off" only once or twice. Why do you use it regularly?

In V6 there is a new setting, questionably a "feature".
I picked up this piece of information at ACUC, and it was the first thing I set after I installed V6.

You must go to Edit-My preferences-User preferences. There is a setting, "Automatically clear 'Deleted Message' box when logging out". By default, it is unchecked. You must go in and check it for each user in order to clear the messages.

Donna,
I think they are talking about something different; their messages seem to be still in the inbox, not in the deleted messages.

to clarify:
I think my issue is different than the others... as mine do disappear from the inbox... but my issue (?new thread?)...
In older versions, double clicking on the messages in the inbox that were "Sign-Off: chart item ..." would open a new window/box with all the inbox messaage of that sort... with radio buttons next to each one that you could check off (or click the "check all" button) and then click "sign off checked items"... so a total of 4 clicks to get rid of the "Sign off" items from the inbox (and have them signed off...as I've seen them and commented on them prior to them being imported).
Now, double clicking the "sign off chart item..." message opens a window where I view each one individually, having to click 'sign off item' individually... or log into the Admin section and run the sign off through there... which is more work than signing off in earlier versions.
Am I missing a "sign-off all" button somewhere on the (non-admin) screen?
