Hello! Does anyone know if we can delete the running list of orders under the "view" tab, "orders"? We see the running list of all orders since we started live on AC, but many of them have been resulted already and we have no need for them to continually populate this list. We are hoping to use this feature to result orders moving forward, but would like to delete the past ones. Anyone?
Thanks!
Christina

I think you can do this by using "shift select". Select the oldest one you want to delete, then while you hold the shift key down, scroll up to the most recent one you want to delete. The whole group should be blue, and then you can click the "completed" button, then "Update order". This seems to delete them; I am not sure if there are any other consequences of the deletion, though.

Good ides! - i thought about doing that - but we don't know which orders are actually completed, and which have not. I am hesitant to complete orders that haven't yet been done. hmmmmmmmm

This is a very cumbersome feature. We have a part-time person who actually once a week goes in and deletes all of these ONE AT A TIME. It is not useful to me in it's present form.

Agree....pretty useless feature. It has been useless since the beginning.

We have version 6.0.10 and I have been working with this issue too. I've been trying to delete old orders as JBS decribed above. You can select several but when you delete ONLY one is deleted - no matter how many you select.
This is a big problem getting bigger all the time! Generating orders is getting slower and slower.
What would be most helpful is a utility to delete orders by date range or older than X months.

Leslie and DL (sorry, but I don't feel comfortable addressing anyone as "daddylove"): If you right click and hit "delete" it appears that you can only delete one order at a time. If you select them as I described and hit the radio button "Completed (There are no results pending)" then you can erase a large number at one time. With this approach you can delete orders by date range or older than X months.
Not commenting on the value of the orders section; it has not been useful in the past, but maybe it will become more so. Deleting all or a large number of old orders at least allows you to get a "fresh start".

Jon,
When I tried doing this I got the "send message" screen. If I cancel and do not send, it only deleted one of the orders. I really do not want to go through another step of deleting all of these order messages from my inbox. Hence, I still won't use this feature.

If the orders could be sorted by date, or type, or? it would be much less of an issue.

Vicki, You can sort orders by date, patient, person who placed order, etc clicking the title at top of the column (toggles ascenting & decending).
Jon (JBS) When you select more than one order for me they have to be ordered by the same person and less than around 30 or A/C crashes and I get a "run-time error 91" message.
BTW - justed finished clearing all orders older than 3 and half months and it's still slow slow slow...

Yeah!! This was not available the last time I checked. This will be a great help. I hope a sort fx will be available soon for the problem list. I have so many duplications.
