Can I please get some advice from someone who is printing out labs. I just started using the lab order function and then printing the order to hand to the patient. I would like to know if the format or content of the printed lab is editable in AC 6.0.9 - for example, putting the address and directions to the lab, adding other directions, etc. Somewhere on this board I thought someone said AC 6.0.9 is using Crystal reports, but I don't see any rpts in the folder. Thanks.

I do not believe it is editable. Maybe a template for your plan letter you give pt could help. Unfortunately I am little help as I tell them "across the parking lot"

I could say that too ("across the parking lot"), but then they would end up in a dentist's office.

I was just wondering, because surely AC would have used some kind of schema or template and not hard-coded the lab req.

My understanding is that it is not editable.

I don't believe it's editable. Depending on the printer you are using, you could always feed a piece of pre-printed paper that on one side that has the map to the lab, address & hours. Then print your lab order on the other side. Just an idea.

What "other directions" are you talking about. I think a template as Steven suggested would work.

@Marty, Yes, you are correct, a template would work. I am just trying to make it easier on one piece of paper. "other directions" include how I specifically want a patient to fast, for example.

@Stephen, how's the HIE project going? Are you able to use it yet to order and get results? Is AC close?
