A local payor has implemented a program here in NM to try to improve preventive care for their pts. They are paying us $150/physical. They have several things they like to see on a physical and want us to provide them with the patient's problems, meds and health maintenance items. At a meeting most of the doctors were grumbling and said they doubted they would take part. I came back to the office, tweaked a couple of templates and printed a list of all the patients from that payor and told them to come in for a physical. Then when the pt comes in and I finish the physical I just print the CCR, the physical and tracked items and fax it to them. 5 minutes extra work-$150. I just had a meeting with them and they said they are using our office as a model and we are their star Doctor. It's not me. It's AC.
