I am on Hatteras Island and practice in Frisco. Thankfully the office and my house are spared the road not so much. I am a total island again. WE returned yesterday via emergency ferry to resume medical services for our patients and those here to help us. My IT person is not able to be reached as all phones other than land lines are down. He is on another island and is heading back there today. When we evacuated I disconnected everything. Since power is on but not likely to be permanent for a bit (substation was completely destroyed as in not here), I am going to operate off my laptop for a bit rather than reboot the server/computers in the rooms etc. Here is my question I have not put ac on my laptop. How can I reconnect to either my server and download ac or how do I connect and download my ac backup from ac? Thanks for reading this far!!!  Alex

DO you have a back up copy of your AC on you? If you do, then you should be able to run AC on your laptop.
Which version are you using?
If not, if you have Guardian Angel support, you should be in luck.
Either way, you will need to install AC on your laptop and restore a back up copy.
When your office is back up and running, then you will need to make sure your laptop info is backed up, as it will be the most up to date, and then restore the main computer/server's back up as well.

Alex,
Will be happy to try to help you; we heard yesterday that tech support for AC was without power. I would ping them first, but if you get no answer come back here...
To give you the best help from here:
Is AC on your laptop already?
If so, when you installed it, did you install SQL? (did you choose the option "this computer will SOMETIMES be used as the main computer"?
And where is your latest backup (enc file)? on the server?

Thanks much! Yes its on my laptop, just need to sync it. Thankfully I have both but I think ac guardian backup will be easier. I don't want to restart everything just yet until off of generator. I will go in the am and begin this task. Thanks again
