This thread is for new posters only. No one else may post here. Would like to get to know others on the board and hear their opinions. After all, that is what makes AC great.

Well, I'm sort of a veteran, and I was trying to aggravate you by posting in the new poster thread, under the guise of warning other veterans not to post in the new poster thread. It was supposed to be funny. Sorry!

Hello Bert, I am a new AC user. I currently have 130 patients on my AC and, at this point, simply dictate my lab values into my physical and put the cholesterol etc. that I want to follow in the Summary page. My lab is LabCorp and I am told that they can interface with AC. Please tell me the best way to record and follow labs with AC. Is there a way to search labs as is done with diagnosis etc.? Thanks, Jim FP Springfield MO

@Brian Oh, I got it now. Kind of a Catch22 'cause you are helping keep away veteran posters and yet you posted. It was funny once I got it. You are always one step ahead of me. Jim, thanks for posting and giving a profile. I wish I could help on the LabCorp thing, but you could post at http://tinyurl.com/2daossand ask the three people who clicked on LabCorp for help. I don't see where you could search unless it was under free text. I would email Vinny to see if that can be implemented Cheers!

Jim:
I just got the first part of the LabCorp bridge last week and I can *receive* labs just fine through AC, and they also continue to send me hard copies for now.
Next week I am supposed to get the part I have been really waiting for, which is the bridge that allows me to *order* lab, using my AC demographics instead of having to re-enter them.
I am planning on a major post once I get everything in place. So far, I have had no problems with LabCorp whatsoever. It has taken a while to get things rolling, but that has been my fault as much as theirs.
As far as how you track lab, I have not even started to look into that one yet. If I figure something out, I will either post here or just do a whole review on the service in a couple of weeks.
