Well so far my encounters with Version 6.0.9 Beta II does not seem to be good. I have contacted Guardian Angel Support and have an open case number with them. I just wanted to post to the user board to help others that might encounter the same issue. New York State Prescriptions do not print correctly at all. No matter what combination (StarTSP 800 w/ New York or New York w/ upper left or 4 per page) print out horrible on the TSP 800. Hopefully Guardian Angel Support can fix this quickly. With the Meaningful use stuff -- the doctor in the practice I'm working with decided to upgrade anyways, maintaining the new Version 6 System and get another server running that can be remote desktop-ed into for the v5 system. Update patient info in the ver 6 sys, prescribe, etc. and then just go the ver 5 system and prescribe again to print.

Hopefully we can get a fix for this shortly. our work around is certainly not recommended but is the only way we can go forward with MU.

I was informed today that AC was fixing this in 6.0.10

They have released 6.0.9 as stable (Which I believe to be irresponsible). Considering the long list of bugs it has as proven by this forum.

They also list the bugs on the download page. I'll install when 6.0.10 comes out probably.

I am using V6.09 in NYS and having no problem printing prescriptions. They are not as pretty as they were in the prior version but it works fine. What I don't understand is how if I write thirty it is unacceptable but when I write 30 the prescription comes out saying thirty. My pea brain just cannot comprehend the issue here.

stylnchris... I feel your pain. I too installed 6.09 looking forward to finally fulling the stupid government's MU requirements, and I found that my prescriptions were printing as little microscopic versions of the real thing. I immediately rolled back to 5.029 until AC gets this worked out. I sometimes lose myself in a daydream, thinking of those days when those wonderful paper charts littered my desk and I didnt have to type all day long...

What I don't understand is I don't think the alpha through beta through release through official version is really done correctly. I think the last beta version should be done with a large subset of beta testers until the offical release is steady as a rock. What ends up happening is that a group of users which is likely ten times as large as the original beta testers start beating on the new version and many bugs appear.

I think it would make more sense if the version were stable, and the one or two bugs found, which are usually found in any new release (were fixed in a patch or update).

There is a pattern here that is becoming a problem. It seems with each new version, update, upgrade or beta, something happens to ePrescribe. One would think at this juncture, that AC would make it top priority to test and retest until eRx is working before releasing the product.

It has also become clear as many have noted, that what was supposed to make healthcare better is going to make it worse, because I am sure AC is not the only one going through the growing pains.

You hit the nail on the head. I have complete lack of confidence in both version 5.1x and version 6. Some users have no problems, some are worse off to the pont of rolling back. Not something good to see with software that I literally spend 12 hours a day with.

Not surprising, given eRx & MU were created by the same group of pea-brains that are staging the debt ceiling circus now in Washington. My dismay is that we are all represented by physician-enablers in the major medical organizations, who keep emailing me to support one or the other position.

Could you please let me know what setting your using for your NYS Prescriptions in the Admin Panel.

Thanks!

Are you using the Star TSP 800 printer?

Bert, I especially appreciate this coming from you. It is easy to be viewed as a cynic and a luddite if one dares suggest that the emperor is even partly undressed. Your AC and EHR credentials are sufficiently impeccable that I can only hope someone is listening.

As eyeguy stated earlier, I too am getting a microscopic font size when printing using the Star TSP 800 printer since upgrading to Version 6.0.9

I've notice the script alignment option is not working properly as well.

I have state set to TSP800, and layout set to Format1

Try NYS Format (with copy) then the Nudge left to right -700 and nudge up and down +400
