I am looking for an easy way to replace our tickler system. I want to be able to search for example all patients who are due for their well woman exams the following month. This would allow the office staff to call and schedule patients.
I am using V6 and see that I can use Heath Maintenance to record pap smears but I cannot run a report that gives me the list as I described above. I can get a list of everyone who is due for the exam, but it doesn't allow me to specify dates due (ie next month).
Someone else on the board earlier suggested using keywords in the PMH such as "Last pap Jan 2010". I could then run a report that gives me a list of every patient that has "Last Pap Jan 2010" in it. This would work as long as everyone spelled everything the same (seems the best option so far)
Doesn't seem that I can get that info from doing a search of the labs.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Marty Few thoughts:
1. I suggest that every person in the practice have an Annual visit in the month of birth.
2. At this visit we look at all the preventive and monitoring opportunities
3. We are compulsive about using the health maintenance feature and have added clinical rules for Diabetes, CAD etc. That box should be clean at all times after 2 years of using AC. We just finished year one. This does not work for consults where we are not providing preventive care as we do not enter data but we could make a notation that "Done by other physician"
Hope this helps
