Hi all,

First post in a while, have been using AC now for 3 yrs with great satisfaction.

I'm about to launch into the whole PQRS Medicare reporting thing for the second half of this year and was just wondering since there are so many smart, connected folks on this forum... how many of you are participating in the PQRS currently and are there any shortcuts using AC that people have found makes that reporting easier? I use a billing/collecting/electronic claim-sending solution (Medware) in parallel with AC and only use AC for scheduling and charting at present. So, my biller will be entering the QDC and CPT-II codes by hand into Medware (I guess off of a redesigned paper superbill) once we decide exactly what we're going to start tracking, and shooting those off electronically as we do now.
Anyhow, as far as I can tell, there's no easy way to run a useful report such as "Show me all my 65+ patients who don't yet have a pneumovax" or "Show me all of my diabetic patients with a H-A1c over 9.0" or such like. Am I wrong about that? I admit I have not played around with the report/search functionality in AC for quite a while but it seems like when I did a couple of years ago it was not all that functional.

Thanks in advance.

It is becoming much more functional and you will need to have Version 6 and practice generating reports - if your labs are bringing in codified data (not images/scans) you should be able to do this, also have you been using the immunization entry in AC as the new HM criteria have been searching and finding the pneumonia immun. to determine if pt. has had this. The new HM is daunting but once you start to do you will find lots of information in chart.
