We've had database problems for 2 days now since we did the latest upgrade on all our computers. I've run the database repair and tunner and then every thing works fine for a few hours but the problem reoccurs. Anyone else???

I haven't seen anything obvious, EXCEPT, there has been 2 patients where the problems are not showing up on the Summary Sheet.

Dr. J: Speak for yourself...Just kidding we are pretty smooth here too. Good see ya, where have you been hiding??? Pretty weird weather we're having here in CNY??? But it's hockey season and that is always good... "Game On". Have a great night.

Just a curious question. What features of the updates do you find worthwhile going through the process of updating the program?

Roy,
Now we were very behind in updates,so we really needed to get back on track here at our place; But getting our messages NOT to disappear from 10 to midnight was nice. Also it seems that Nancy can now print a batch of Rx's and have the written and printed numeric quantities come out correctly on the printed Rx. But these are more fixes, bug repairs and tune-ups rather than actual features created if that is your point which I think it is.

Paul, some fixes have creeped in over the last few releases. There are several additonal bug fixes and tuneups that I'd like to see. I'd gladly wait for a couple of months if they would put out 1 or 2 releases devoted to bug fixes/tune ups and it hit (some of) y problem list.

I agree. I think this is sort of Roy's point here. Although I too am famous for great pie in the sky suggestions for features and the like. He and Bert have been kind of knocking around for awhile now, the idea that we all really like our basic AC. It is a great quick and easy tool for our docs and offices. As opposed to lots of quickly thrown together new features, many of which only seem to apply to a limited number of practices; instead take some time to fix, tweak, update and generally make really smooth what we already have.

And when adding features let's have more that can apply across a broader spectrum of docs and practices. Like the No-show one I just suggested or some updates to how charts get numbered for to establish verses have establised patients. Bert and Roy talking about the Med Database and the same for the vaccines and the like. These are repairs and tweaks that can be of great assistance and of use to a large majority of the practices that use AC. And therefore would be greatly appreciated by a large number of users.

But this latest update has been very stable here so far and I think that I can say that for most of us, that is probably "Job One". A nice quiet stable platform that wakes-up and just quietly does it's job for us everyday. So we just kind of have a comfortable safe feeling that this very important tool will be there for us as we get our work done. And for that I say, "Thumbs-Up" and a sincere "Thank-You". That is what we all really need, now isn't it?

Dr. C complained today that Rxs she wrote were not being saved into the patient's medication list. Said it happened a couple of times. I'm going to try to reproduce this tomarrow AM.

I'm really glad you mentioned this Wayne, the medication list is not always updated. I've run into this a few times, thinking I (or my MA) must not have done it, yet the patients are telling me they got their refills. It does not consistently happen - but still once is too much.

Hopefully this is an silly question with an easy answer: When I compose a letter and send it to the provider (level one) for sign-off, it isn't being imported and therefore, doesn't show up in pt's chart. We think this started after the last couple of updates... Thanks for any help!!

I think an entire month dedicated to improving the prescription writer would be appropriate.
