Just saw my first patient in my private practice today! I have two patients all together.. lol
When done I noticed that my charges were at 0, while this is nice for the patient it won't keep me in business(neither will only having 2 patients, but oh well) Where do I assign dollar amounts to each one?

I think it can be done in Administration but if you want you can enter the fee right in the sign off screen. I think there will be a pop up that asks if you want that amount to always be the fee. You just click on the box where the 0 is.

Scott, another way: in version 5
in the header, select "View" scroll down to select "Codes (ICD-9/CPT/HCPCS" in the header, select "Edit Codes"
enter an ICD-9 and then edit.
there is a way of editing multiple ICD-9s, I just dont recall how i dit it.
good luck!

correction,
a. I meant E&M / procedure codes - not ICD-9
b. From the Code Search window, select "Edit Code and Charges"

Just saw my first patient in my private practice today! I have two patients all together.. lol Congradulations (or is it condolences) on your new practice. Both are correct. Put in your top 20 or so CPT codes in the edit system. Others will pop up, just make sure you are paying attention to the price, then edit them "on the fly" by changing the price as St Lawrence stated. Now to work on getting paid....

The patient's expectation is that you have all the answers, sometimes they just don't like the answer you have for them

I sent a request to Blue Cross and they sent my back their reimbursement levels. I then went through all the CPT codes I use and changed them there.

To edit multiple CPT codes or to add new one you have to go on: View, Administrator options, Program settings, Tools, CPT Database : Modify available codes.
