I am still in the process of transitioning to near paperless e records. Up until now, for monitoring PTs and INRs, I've used our paper chart and had the order on a paper flow sheet with the Patient's name, diagnosis, warfarin dose, protime/INR, dosage adjustment and followup. My medicare carrier now wants a signed order for the testing (usually monthly)in the chart. They also recommend this order to be recorded for every visit. My question to the forum is how are you doing this? Do you still import an excel spreadsheet? Do you have a PT/INR oder template that you put in the plan section each visit? Are you monitoring this in AC under health maintenance? Or somewhere else. I'm using 5.0.29.
Thanks,
Tom

It is one of the few things on paper for me. INR would be easy to track, but coumadin dose less so. We do all inrs in office.

Design and import Excel spreadsheet which stores in imported items. My MA enters INR then messages me to address coumadin dose, which I di in Imported Items, save, tehn message her back to call patient. The MAs store the Excel flow on our server so they can add to chart as needed.
