I have several patients who did not receive varicella vaccine because they had the disease. It would be great if I could add a vaccine to my system called "Had Varicella disease." That way, when I printed out the patient's vaccine record, it would show up and be counted.

The way things are now, if patient hasn't had the vaccine, varicella is left off of the vaccine spreadsheet entirely. I have to write it in by hand.

Is there a workaround? I tried--successfully--to add 'had varicella disease' to the Injections section, but it doesn't print out on the vaccination printout.

On a peripherally-related issue, it's silly that when I print a vaccine record it doesn't have my practice info on the header. I have had a couple of schools ask the parent for an 'official' printout, with the implication that anybody could have typed this up on their home computer. The old yellow vaccine record cards had a stamp next to each vaccine from the doctor's office where they received it.

Thanks

The V6 vaccine record is much improved visually. Larger font, practice header, title. Its not perfect unless they make a few more changes though.

I guess in HPI there would be a place for chicken pox. I haven't checked. But for all of the vaccines, it would be good if you could check of "Had Disease". I'd like to see this as an option for hep a and hep b and measles, mumps and rubella too.
