It happens a lot If the names are not spelled correctly or the date of birth is off, it creates a new chart. If it is corrected in the original chart, you can inactivate the duplicate.

If you have a duplicate chart and all that is in it are demographics, you don't have to just inactivate it.

Say, Phreesia made it Bill Smith DOB: 01/01/1980 blah, blah, blah. Once we realize we have any chart that was made no matter how which we don't need we rename it. So, Bill Smith becomes "AAChart"" and "AA" You can name it anything. It's just nice to have it float to the top.

The next new patient you have, just pull that chart and replace the old demographics.

We do that. But what would help is if, if Phreesa didn't find the exact match, it would give you a little screen and give you the option to select a patient, create the new patient, or ignore. This happens when I import a new patient from Appointment Quest.

The problem is however, that with phreesia we don't create any new patients. We use quick check in. So we pick the patient, so the point of the integration is that if the patient once in that chart on phreesia corrects anything it is supposed to link it to the chart in AC, but i see how that can be an issue.
