Any recommendations for a Spirometry that interfaces well with AC?

Or even one that only exports a pdf, but doesn't cost so much per test. We are looking but not finding what we want.

Midmark. Only a single unneaded screen, otherwise works perfectly with AC. The flow curves generated are beautiful and easy to read.

Thanks, what is the cost per test? How much of the device is disposable?

I use a NDD Medical handheld spirometer - costs a couple of dollars per test and prints report (pdf and import) - works great and can even take to nursing home, etc.
I think the cost of an interface and how much Midmark costs is ridiculous (I paid less than 1500 with software, cradle and 50 mouthpieces I believe). That being said I have been talking with Josephine at AC (in charge of interfaces) and will keep pushing to develop an interface just to make it easier.

the midmark is expensive, but it works really easily and the results a very very easy to read. Even I can do it. I dont tghink the interface cost is too high though. we have the ekg also.

So we got a midmark spirometer for free for buying two cases of the mouthpeices that have no expiration date. We got them through PSS medical supply in Jacksonville Fl. You just have to haggle/barter with them.

The disposable part is small and in quantity less expensive than most competitors. I second the idea to try to get free thru promotion by distributor, but you will probably have one-time cost of calibration syringe that takes up a lot of storage space.

We use the midmark spirometer and ekg. No problems with interface. Can easily compare to previous studies. Very happy with both products.

I had the midmark, and indeed it worked fine, but when I upgraded to Windows 7, the software will not run, only under Win XP, or Win 2000 or below. So its useless now. I have not seen an updated driver or interface for Win7. So if you know of one, please let me know.

if you got win 7 professional, you may be able to run it under xp mode. But thanks for the heads up, as we are upgrading our computers.

If you contact midmark they will upgrade your drivers to work with windows 7. We had to wait a short period of time until they were ready but they are and all you need to do is call. I'm using my midmark spirometer again without difficulty.
