We are an internal med practice, but do put photos of skin lesions into AC when we see them. An assistant could do this easily if you did it a lot. It takes a couple of steps to go from the camera yo AC, but is not difficult.

As an electronic health program, I believe it is the top of the list. Being bluntly honest, I am not convinced we made the right decision in converting from paper, but almost all practices not nearing retirement have no choice. In an ideal world, I would have waited 10 years until the vendor field has shaken itself down and the "Microsoft Office" equivalent of the EHR has emerged. And, almost everyone on this group is more enthusiastic than I about the entire change.

I agree completely with you, David. Or at least some combination of the two.

Bob:
I am using the photo section to start to upload my ultrasound pics as i do ultrasound of joint and tendons and muscles. The only issue with the pic thing is that htere is no way when you are looking at your past encounters tab, to see which lf the encounters have pics..you have to use the flag, but that is kind of annoying...or you can put in the header (CC section) that there is a pic...
I can up date you in a bit like a couple months if you email me or find me on here then. . .
where are you looking to start ? i need a good derm person to send to!
oh and i have no regrets about being completely paperless!!!!

I love AC and I'm so glad it made it really easy to start my own practice. My overhead costs were thousands less than with most other programs. I highly recommend it!
