I am looking for more experienced opinions regarding the AC scheduler. Have you all found it to be robust enough to feel usable?

Also, is there a "best" way to integrate to billing side, if one is outsourcing the billing? I have heard varying things regarding X-link. My billing company wants to continue to use their choice of software and maintain the master patient database on their server, with AC as slave to that, via X-link. They are trying to keep their job streamlined for efficiency sake. Does anyone have any experiencing with making integration decisions like this, and have any guidance to offer?

Thank you

Hey there KKML:

Here is my take on it. The scheduler allows me to do what I want. There are some things I don't like, such as how many parents I can put in (with divorces at 50% these days, a lot of my kid patients have like 4 contacts I need to put in). Also putting the referring doc (since i am a specialist) is tough but we figure away around it. But the scheduler is easy enough unless you have a very complicated schedule and need the scheduler to tell you what office you need to be at.

As for the link to my outsourced billing people, right now i just at the end of the day have the front desk print the bills as a pdf file and securely email it to my biller. It is easy enough.

We have looked into the connection between AC and the billing but haven't figured out how to do it yet.

On a side note, you are hiring them as a billing agent and if they are telling you what software to use for scheduling and all that stuff, you may want to tell them you want to make it easy for you. there are billing people who you can do this with very easily.

what city are you in? i can give you the name of my billing person!

Yes, it is maddening that they are demanding on the billing software to be used. They are excellent, though, so hard to leave. I live in Hawaii. Thank you for your billing company referral, however, we charge G.E.T. for medical services in HI, and therefore I need to stick to a local biller who has experience with that.
Mahalo!

They just don't realize how wonderful Chicago is in the winter. Beautiful 20 degree days with dusting of snow.

They have salt water, we have salted snow, almost the same thing!

Who wants sunshine and beaches? Might get sunburn.
