Why do some of our prescriptions NOT get transmitted to the pharmacy even though it says it was transmitted? And it seems to go through without any problems? this has happened three times this week?

Yes, I seem to be having more problems this week than in the past.

I am new to e prescibing and so far I have only sent 3 scripts and none of them have gone through. I am using a backup paper script which seems to invalidate the purpose of electronic submisions . Is there any one to call to check on theis problem

Open a chat with Amazing Charts tech support and they will troubleshoot it for you. They can also direct connect to NewCrop in case the problem is in their network.

You may want to work with your pharmacy. I have a parent who is a pharmacy tech at walgreens and stated that when a e-script comes in it blocks them from processing the next paper script until it is done. They should be going through in minutes, which she demonstrated in the office by calling the pharmacy while she was still in the exam room.
Art You can go to the main page and go under online services and choose electronic prescribing. (I think you can also use control P on the main page.) This page will tell you what Rxs failed and also any refill Rxes but that usually takes weeks to months before it is implemented.
I would assume you have registered for e-prescribing, you may need to talk to AC to have them verify that things are going out correctly if there is no information on the eprescribing section

when I check if my e rx went through in the New Crop Screen at the calender site, it always says FAX. I believe it should show it went through electroncally. Is this the way it is set up Arthur Lukoff

Anyone having issues should just contact AC. We got authorized to use the E-Rx, started sending test scripts and they would not go through to the pharmacists computer, just to their FAX (as is happening in Arthur's [footdoc] case).
So we contacted AC. Paul Hyland at AC was very great about working with my office staff. There was an issue w/ New Crop, he contacted them and fixed it immediately. We test prescribed a number of E-Rx's to our local pharmacies and they are all going through within 5 minutes, E-Rx's NOT as faxes from the Sure Scripts fax server.
We worked and tested w/ our local pharmacies before going live w/ E-Rxing. I had my staff call a representative from each of the local chains (Walmart, Walgreen, R/A, Hannaford & Shaws grocery stores, CVS) and send each one a single test Rx. They called us back when they received it. Range of time was 3-5 minutes for a positive reply.
Remember when testing to your local pharm's, it cost THEM approximately 10 cents per Rx.

I agree - a new AC clinic was having problems and I had them ping AC and they fixed the erx issue and the doc loves it. When 5.1 let's everyone do refills as erx it will be great. I do erx even with new crop and it is a pain.

Yes Steven, we are eagerly awaiting that ability. My staff has been emailing AC almost everyday, probably so much that we are solely responsible for the 5.1 delay. HaHa.

Hey! Long-time lurker, first-time poster! (Your board registration page might be bugged, btw. Couldn't make an account for 3 months.) I'm de-facto IT gal (and receptionist) for my dad's office and we've been using Amazing Charts since August, started going fully "live" in December and I've been given a few projects to work on, one of them being e-Rx. (Wow, run-on sentence much?)
Doctor wants to know: if someone's pharmacy isn't on the search list, is there a way we can input it? I don't think so, because it would require them to be previously connected electronically, and if they don't have the faculties you probably can't magic them into the system. But if there is a way...what can asking hurt?

I have never had a pharmacy that was not in there - even if they are not electronic it will let you choose them and then it will fax when you hit send.

Thanks for replying!
So...even if they don't have the e Rx they should show up? Even the mom and pop stores?

Express Scripts EDI - mail order pharmacies make it very difficult and often say they did not get it anyway even when we know we sent it. I have pt. go home and call them a few hours after I send it to verify (have them say he sent it electronically) and then they find it, I think if you send it and they have not put in refill request it gets ignored and/or deleted - Medco is tough also.

THANK YOU! Seriously, that's going to solve a massive amount of headaches. I haven't had a problem with Medco--yet. We'll see. It seems everytime we deal with ANY pharmacy they say we never did x,y, or z and then we open the chart and see it was faxed THREE times and the patient always gets mad at us instead of the pharmacy. C'est la vie, no?

Discovered today from a local pharmacist (my first pt of the morning) that all my e-prescriptions have been going through as faxes for the last year. Same for all the pharmacies I called. Emailed tech support, got a same-day call back from Anthony who checked out Amazing Charts at my end then called NewCrop and got it fixed at their end. Total elapsed time: 3 hrs from initial email. Seriously!
