Just wish we could load the orders we write to the chart some how. Am i missing somehow to do it. Right now i use updox and put it in there and then use that to add it to a patient chart. . .
that way it goes to imported items and anyone can see it is saved to the chart. otherwise it just says it in the actual note but you can't reprint that if you need to.

How we find them to reprint is:
CTRL + O from the main AC window This will pull up the orders window where you can filter the data by patients, type, date range etc. When you find the patient, highlight it and down at the left bottom corner there is a command to print, complete an order, reconcile etc. The biggest problem with printing them this way is it puts the date at the top of the req form.
You can also email the order to a staff member who can save it to the chart. It puts it in the past encounters as a message : ORDERS: yada yada

otherwise it just says it in the actual note but you can't reprint that if you need to. This doesn't come up that often for me, but when it does, the order is usually a template in my order section already and it is just as easy to go there and reprint it. If it is a more "unique" order, I just select and copy it in the note and paste it in the order section. That is easier than going through several extra steps on every order to save it somewhere.

It is too bad you can't search it by name! the CTRL O works but searching by name would be way better!
I think for now i will just keep doing it the way we are so we keep it in the chart that we can see that we did give it to someone.
