Are people still having issues with the MidMark spirometry interface in V5? I understand there were problems in previous versions. I am thinking of adding this service and am looking for options.

I have the Midmark spirometer. When I used it w/ AC Ver 5, I had no problems, however when I upgraded my computers to Win Vista and Win 7. Midmark no longer supports drivers for the new operating systems. It will only work w/ XP, or Win 2000. So right now the Spirometer is useless.

I think I have the same problem. Haven't been able to use my spirometer lately. We have been too busy to figure out what the problem is.

For those that were using it in the past, what was the interface doing? where was the data getting stored?

Using it in XP. Clunky sign-off but otherwise very good.Seems to save within AC. I believe it is working to read on my win seven machine. My assistant may have set up virtual machine but i doubt it.

Thanks for the input. So, at this time, paying extra for the interface would be silly. Better to just get one that prints its report and then scan it in, like I do my EKGs

Midmark has promised that the drivers for Windows 7 will be out next month.....waiting for them. One office with older operating system still works but not the windows7 office.

I guess I was the only one too busy to find out what the problems is. The others in my office already knew.

For those using the Welch allyn cardioperfect workstation ECG or spirometry. They recently came out with an update and it is working on W7. Call support and they will send you a disk. That should put some pressure on Midmark.

Hey, I spoke with Midmark about this today (if anyone is still having problems). Call them and they will send you a link to download the drivers.

He stated that for win 7 32 bit, it is not needed and you should have no problems. The new driver is supposedly ONLY needed with 64-bit systems. So my new laptop has win 7 home premium 64, and I needed it. but the 32-bit system that came today should not.
