The last post I saw about this mentioned something about October. Anyone know when? what's coming? It's always nice to get new features.

It is in beta with several practices. Still working on some problems but it is much better with letting staff do script renewals. Also in-box lets you know totals in each category. Some of the features are nice. It is even slowly winning over my IT. AC is doing this the right way and have been very helpful and accessible. I believe you will like it when it is done.

Yay! Will my nurse be able to renew a script? That would be wonderful news! I already let use the phone.

Yes, you enable which staff members you want to be able to fill scripts. Now staff can renew scripts thru new crop but with 5.1 can do it the same way we do (much quicker)or there is box they can click to open up all the people that need refills and if you have photo ID's on patients their picture appears with the refill request. So far I have only seen improvements and some of the current headaches (can now delete no allergies without doing workaround) are fixed. Barry (project engineer)has been great when I bug him on a regular basis with things. I believe Jon and company have definitely improved things with 5.1. We will be going live with interface with our lab within the next week so I will get to see that aspect which is something brand new for me.

At this stage they picked 4 offices and I guess we were one of the lucky ones as I say if it is going to happen it is going to happen to us. Don't be upset as things aren't perfect yet.

I wish they would at least update the medication data base. There are several meds I am using that are not in there. The biggest being Victoza. Have you tried it for DM. It is working very well for my patients. No, I do not have any financial stake in the pharmaceutical industry. Anyway, it would be nice to Rx it electronically. I hate the old fashioned way now. Print a hard copy?!! How 2009.

I am not looking too much on those features on the new version but would really hope that AC would solve the bugs we currently have soon, like not able to remove NKDA under drug allergy, it could potentially cause error on documentation and practice.

yes the nkda and victoza are both fixed and the meds appear sooner after release than they do now.

Does anyone know when V5.1 will be officially out? According to AC V5.2 is supposed to be out end of the year. It is already November and we are still waiting for V5.1, We need the updated pharmacy store list on the new version(for e-Rx). Thx.

It's getting closer. Got a new beta this week that fixed a couple of "nasty bugs" in HM section. So far so good this week. Still working on e-prescribing section matching scripts with current script to renew. Don't know anything official just in my world.

According to AC V5.2 is supposed to be out end of the year. It is already November and we are still waiting for V5.1. Although I am hoping for an earlier release, I would rather have a combination of 5.1 & 5.2 later, with more bugs and glitches fixed. I like new features as much as the next person, but quality comes first.
