Hello!
I have found and read almost everything that I could find about x-link in this blog- most people had said after doing research about the x-link they decided not to purchase it.

#1 Is there anyone out there that actually purchased x-link and could provide feedback about how accurate & complete the information exchange is between AC and a PM?

#2 If choosing not to use x-link, what are the other options for connecting AC to Lytec PM?

Thanks!

Hello, did you read the post titled "Using x-link with Medisoft and Amazing Charts"? If you haven't, I highly recommend you do. Based on the discussion with the AC tech in that post, I determined that I had two options for interfacing Medisoft with Amazing Charts; purchasing and using Medisoft Communication Manager or purchasing x-link. Based on the information in the post, I would have chosen to use Communication Manager; however, the Medisoft vendors informed me(as did the AC tech)that Communications Manager (given a purchase price of $1,400) can be used to interface with only one EMR. Because I have to interface with more than one EMR, I will most likely be using x-link. However, I spoke with someone else who was told that "technically", Communication Manager actually can be used to interface with more than one EMR and they are attempting to to so within the next few weeks. I am holding off on investing in x-link awaiting feedback from this individual. If its determined that Communication Manager cannot interface with more than one EMR, I'll be purchasing x-link probably within the next month. I'd be happy to share my experience at that time. My Medisoft vendor also sells Lytec so I assume Lytec has something similar to Communication Manager. I highy recommend you speak with an AC tech in reference this. The AC tech was much more informative than my Medisoft vendor. The Medisoft vendor does not sell Communications Manager and didn't know much about it; I had to work hard to get information about it from them (maybe because they sell x-link).
