As it stands, the health maintenance section of AC is not all that useful for us excepting for keeping track of who is due for a mammography, colonoscopy, etc.

I noticed that there is a way to add your own custom rule. This is great, but not nearly as powerful as it could be. Right now we are forced to use the pre-determined list of "risk factors" and any addition of custom Dx codes only allows for a rule to NOT apply.

What we would LOVE to see, and what would make the Health Maintenance a really powerful tool, would be to make the following modifications to adding custom rules:
1) Allow us to create and add our own "risk factors". Sometimes these things are a matter of professional opinion what is a risk factor for what, so to allow customization for that would be helpful.
2) Hands down best thing would be to allow us to add Dx codes for which rules will apply. In other words, allow us to create a rule that applies for all patients who HAVE a particular Dx on their problem list.

We do mostly women's health, so the best example of how we would use this is creating a custom rule for recommending a follow-up PAP smear in 6 months (instead of 1-3 years) if a patient is has the Dx for Abnormal PAP/HPV.

In the end, Health Maintenance would serve as a powerful reminder tool that happens automatically as we work. Instead of having to create reminders for every single patient, this would occur automatically as their diagnoses shift and change.

PRETTY COOL, HUH? Let's have it, guys!!

Yeah I really like that idea, lets put there near the top of the list of "to-do" after the billing is ready.

This is one of the first things I noticed about the HM section. We'd like to have things in the risk factors like family history of <insert disease>, etc.
