OK. This may have been a colossal waste of time and space, but I have been working on a project that maybe one person can use. It arose out of the threads about wishing it were easier to use the letter writer. I think this has possibilities. Like everything it has its pros and cons. I have put about ten hours into it, so I understand it fairly well. Even with the print screens and "manual" it may not be intuitive. So, of course, if it looks like you may want to use it and you have questions, just post them here.

Very cool, Bert! Which Word did you use, Word 2010? (ie with customizing the ribbon thing?)

Exactly. Love 2010. 2007 and 2003 can be used, but 2007 takes a 3rd party app to customize the ribbon. The ribbon is much better in 2010.

Since 2007, Microsoft Word changed from the drop down list for different headings under Home, Edit, etc. to tabs and a ribbon.

So, instead of clicking on Edit and having all the selections drop down, it then makes a "ribbon" so that is all you see across the top. Just the tab "Edit" and a wide toolbar with all of editing sections. It's hard to describe, but if you are using 2007 or 2010, you will be using ribbons. It takes awhile to get used to.

If anyone find this useful or actually implements it, (it is a bit convoluted at first), can you please let me know.
