I am declaring Thursday, 8/5/10, National Amazing Charts No Complaint Day.

All comments should be restricted to positive posts.

I will probably take the day off. smile

Great idea - sometimes you have to just quit on a thread and let it die......that might work also.

OK. Good. I was wearing myself out with little stupid complaints. I'm working around them all and AC still rocks.

Even with all the little things, it is still, hands-down, the best EMR for the money. Hell, it may be the best no matter the amount of money. My buddy has eMDs and he has as many, if not more, little gripes about it and he spends WAY more money on that set-up (about $59,000 more)

AC rocks. It pees rainbows and poops butterflies.

Sorry, no holidays. We're doctors, after all.

Just to destroy the positive mood, I have already posted a whiny response to one of Bert's posts from yesterday.

Yeah, its gonna be tough going an entire day without griping about something. Especially since tomorrow is a clinic day. AC all day. I'll just be busy enough to stay off the board.

I am with John. I would like to complain about not being able to complain. We should have had more warning for something like this!

I was going to make it Friday, but I like to use Friday to get my weekend off being frustrated about little quirks that probably mean nothing in the long run. smile

NACNCD today!

AC rocks. When you think about it, any glitches or
gripes re AC may be the least of our problems.

You know if I wanted to complain I get 3 extra hours over Bert - he is already unable to complain....if only I had something to complain about.

I got no complaints about AC, and I don't complain about MicroSoft, because I can count on them for a steady stream of work [indirectly].

No, not at all. I am elated that you have been so productive with the letter writer.

Tomorrow I go into work late, so I am going to get a good amount of sleep.

They have to agree to use the letter writer exclusively for 1 month.

That sounds perfect. But, I have to be careful or I will be guilty of an indirect violation if I make any part of AC a penalty. smile

I don't know I use the letter writer all the time time - it is great for letters to patients and requests for referral. I just can't get too worried about font sizes, bold, etc.

Chart room no longer bursting at the seams. Rarely use paper scripts. Going thru scrap paper in the office. Can easily review work of PAs. Biller can see what I have done and send records without going to chart room. What's to complain about?

For the record, I use the letter writer exclusively and have done so for a year. I love that it is quick, easy, and saves a copy of my correspondence. My referring docs are more happy that they get it quick rather than how pretty it is. I'm exclusively going to eRx today on NACNCD!

I really love AC. It has totally changed my life. I am cutting back on office hours, staff, headaches, etc. E-rx is working great for us too. I'm kind of a micro practice and can Logmein and do lots of stuff even when not at work. I live and work in a small town and AC just makes life so much easier for me!

ePrescribing is awesome. It makes v5 worth the upgrade. Faxing accomplished the same thing, but there was probably a 85% to 90% failure rate.

The thing I always find funny is after you have looked directly at the patient and asked what is your pharmacy and they tell you Walgreen's, you would think they would pick up on there must be a reason. But, invariably they ask at the front desk, I think I need a prescription. smile

This is not a complaint about AC. Just a funny observation about human behavior.

Its the middle of no complaints day and I'm a happy camper. Love AC. Most of my notes are complete before the patient is leaving the room, scrips are sent electronically ( not lost), orders are sent to the staff, tracking section is wonderful. We use the reminders to keep us from forgetting things,we have sold 18 metal 5 drawer filing cabinents and have 4 more empty ones. ( That leaves 4 cabinets that still have paper in them, I bet they are gone by the end of the year.) The layout of AC keeps me organized ( wonderful, that is a feat!). I don't know of ANY colleague who is as happy with their EMR as I am with mine and they spent many thousounds more than any of us did.
Is this sort of like on your anniversary when you need to remember how lucky you are?

Well....I'd cut him some slack. More like
a quest for clarification not a complaint.

By Windows time, it is officially 12:01 am.

Complaining and pointing out inadequacies and their solutions are two very different things. Althogh they can be difficult to tell apart.

Okay, it's time again for pointing out, uh, inadequacies and
general carping to resume. We're good to go for another year. grin

Jon! You were supposed to come on at 12:01am. I had it all planned.

And, think of them less as complaints but incredibly good free suggestions. smile

Exactly Bert. Many companies pay a lot of money to have their products evaluated and have consumers suggest improvements. AC is good but all EMRs can be better. I just want my EMR to be better than everyone elses so I can tell them to "stick it"
