Bert's answer to a post about secondary insurance involved using flags. At the risk of sounding unpatriotic, I have no use for flags (in AC, anyway). What do people use them for?

We use them for a lot of different things that we want staff to be aware of. Some examples to follow, patient has been sent reminder that needs labs or seen so they are lees likely to slip thru the crack as this gets scheduled when there is contact with patient. Another example is then we have tried to contact patient and our information is no longer valid so this staff is aware to get new contact information when there is any contact with patient. Another example is to set them to office manager when there is contact as there is problem with payment on account.
Solo practice has it's headaches but beats being an employee.

Well, for 1, for the reason I wrote. I think that is the best way to solve Travis' issue, as Jon is certainly not going to go back and change it.
We use them for quite a few reasons. I think they would be more helpful if you could color code them.

We try to use them for several things. balance due, outdated info, etc. It would be more helpful if they showed up on the AC schedule when you clicked the name on the schedule, instead of only when you highlight the name in the search box.
