The new V5 listed a link to Medisoft that was both directions, and I could test drive for 30 days. When I called the office, I was told that it (might) be an "HL-7", which they can just "switch on", or, the system might (still) require X-Link (which is clunky and expensive!) They did say that I needed to contact a Medisoft Vendor and "point Medisoft to AC". I know I should use AC as my PMA, but not ready to do that yet. I don't want X-Link, having researched it. Has anyone had any experience with any other Medisoft connection, at any level? Did it work, problematic, worth the time, what cost? Did it come up at conference?

Sounds like a "training opportunity"on the service side so that they can answer this questions definitively. Sorry, no experience with it here.

There are no other HL-7 linkage programs out there besides X-Link. We have looked at having a custom HL-7 linkage program developed that is more user-friendly than X-Link (and cheaper) but providers have not expressed interest to us in having such a linkage developed.

I noticed that at the bottom it stated for more info, click here. That takes to to mbpro's website. this may be worth another call to AC Central.
