I would like to begin backing up my amazing charts data to several network drives and a USB drive, but cannot seem to find out what files I need to back up and the specific backup and restore procedures.

Any help would be appreciated.

There are lots of options here.

Amazing Charts offers an offsite backup service for $250 a year.

If you choose to do it yourself you need to backup the
*.mdb
files in the amazing charts folder.

Personally I use smart sync pro, which is $35 one time fee.
http://www.smsync.com/
I back up to several different computers on the network and several USB drives (which some I rotate offsite) on varying schedules, keeping multiple multiple copies of old files. Be sure to choose the copy source to destination option and not synchronization.

For offsite backup I use MOZY,
www.mozy.com
This service offers both a free version (2 gigabyte) and pay version (30 gigabyte) for $5/month.
You have the option of supplying your own encryption key and they offer 414 bit encryption so files should be very safe. You can set it to automatically backup every evening.

I have tried Mozy off-site back-up. It works perfect. It takes time, but it starts and ends automatically. It took almost 10 hours to upload 1.6 Gb including imported items.

I still have Amazing Charts backup for $250/year, but for some reasons it doesn't work well.

When I try to upload my 1.6Gb including imported items, it encrypts the files, but when I click on <Upload>, I get the message below. I tried to empty the Temporal Folder like it said, but I still get the same message every time I try to upload my database.
May be size of upload is too big for Amazing Charts backup?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ERROR: Your File Was Not Backed Up!

The file you are uploading does not contain any data. This usually is due to a full Temporary Folder on your computer. Please empty your Temporary Folder by clicking the Empty the Temp button on the OffSite Backup window and then trying this backup again.

I think you need to back up the following files for complete backup: (8 items/folders/files)

Illustrations
Imports
AmazingCharts
AmazingMeds
Billing
Codes
Import
Schedule

AmazingCharts only gives what you documented, messages, labs ordered.
Imports take a long time- depending on what you have imported. For us it is more than 2 GB. So that we backup locally daily and once a week to take home. The rest 7 items should take 3-4 mins and I take home.
We use cobain backup and works good.

Regards--
