Does AC use the "Level of Access" to determine which users are in which messaging groups?

Our staff is at the Nurse level of access, yet when we select GroupBox: Nursing, the messages to not turn up anywhere.

Could someone explain how this works, in general?

I believe that does set who gets the messages. Make sure you are checking the drop down menu under "inbox" in the messages window. The box accessible by your level is listed there such as "provider".

The messaging groups are not flexible and it isn't possible to assign a specific person to more than one group. We decided not to use the group boxes and send messages to a specific person. The only exception is for me, I use the provider box and forward my " in progress" charts to that box and complete them at the end of the day. This leaves my in box less cluttered so that it is easier for me to look at the inbox and see what is needing more immediate attention ( such as a patient waitng to be seen).
Our work flow is pretty divied up and it works for us to send messages ( tasks) to a specific person.

I like the idea of using the Provider group to forward/keep track of in progress charts. Thanks for the tip.
