After several grueling flights back to the west coast and a day to spread my enthusiasm all over the office, I have had a chance to think upon my experience there.
First, from a brand new user perspective I was overjoyed and impressed with the level of assistance that was offered from ALL camps. It is usual to expect assistance from those who occupy a paid position, but to have every experienced user I met be willing to show me or answer my questions was a testament to the kind of community that AC fosters. Kudos and thanks to you all.
I have the utmost respect and admiration to all of those who put this conference on. It is not easy to make everything appear effortless. I personally have been responsible for putting on several multiple day conferences with no fewer than 500 people in attendance and I can tell you it is an arduous task!
Yes...it was a bit chilly. Being a desert dweller I was convinced it was going to snow in that room any minute. There are some things that even the Amazing team had no control over

I was with Carolie as she was talking to Kathleen on Sunday about the potential for something more regional. This sparked my enthusiasm further as it seems there could be more opportunities to share with individual groups this way. More could be accomplished in less time with focus groups like this. I am now challenged to become uber proficient with this program in hopes that a west coast assemblage is in the future.
Lastly, thanks to all of you.....staff, attendees and those I did not actually meet for being so welcoming and willing. I realize that I am one of those "outta the box" kinda guys even though I wear Crocs instead of Birkenstocks. I was never once regarded as anything but a peer with this group. I cannot tell you how refreshing this was!
I am looking forward to learning from you all here and through other methods (FB for instance) and turning my green into blue someday.
