We would take an interface with quickbooks or some other accounting software.

First day of the ACUC, Jon Bertman said "it is on the schedule to release the beta in December. We hope to have it then".
Last day he said "we WILL have it by January 1, 2011."

After several grueling flights back to the west coast and a day to spread my enthusiasm all over the office, I have had a chance to think upon my experience there.

First, from a brand new user perspective I was overjoyed and impressed with the level of assistance that was offered from ALL camps. It is usual to expect assistance from those who occupy a paid position, but to have every experienced user I met be willing to show me or answer my questions was a testament to the kind of community that AC fosters. Kudos and thanks to you all.

I have the utmost respect and admiration to all of those who put this conference on. It is not easy to make everything appear effortless. I personally have been responsible for putting on several multiple day conferences with no fewer than 500 people in attendance and I can tell you it is an arduous task!

Yes...it was a bit chilly. Being a desert dweller I was convinced it was going to snow in that room any minute. There are some things that even the Amazing team had no control over smile

I was with Carolie as she was talking to Kathleen on Sunday about the potential for something more regional. This sparked my enthusiasm further as it seems there could be more opportunities to share with individual groups this way. More could be accomplished in less time with focus groups like this. I am now challenged to become uber proficient with this program in hopes that a west coast assemblage is in the future.

Lastly, thanks to all of you.....staff, attendees and those I did not actually meet for being so welcoming and willing. I realize that I am one of those "outta the box" kinda guys even though I wear Crocs instead of Birkenstocks. I was never once regarded as anything but a peer with this group. I cannot tell you how refreshing this was!

I am looking forward to learning from you all here and through other methods (FB for instance) and turning my green into blue someday.

Hey, I'm from Chicago and fairly temperature tolerant, but it was COLD!! not chilly

At both AC conferences the interactions were Amazing. I truly think it was the best part of the conference. I learned as much as I gave out.

I do like the idea of dual or triple track, but the problem comes in trying to get to all that you are interested. I do like the idea of regional meetings as well.

Remember that Jon's betas are usually fairly stable and long, V5 just came out of beta in April I think.

Also probable Version 5.1 with a lot of e-prescribing improvements and other fixes possibly by the end of July.

More to follow in Version 5.2 but date was fuzzy.

Wendell,

It was a real pleasure to be able to spend some time with you, as well as others that I met at ACUC. Thank you for taking the time to indulge a recovering engineer.

What was surprising and interesting was the amount of input and suggestions that I received about how my crew and I can be of service to the AC community.

To those in the West, I've heard interest from several individuals about getting together informally in the next few months for a meetup. I spend time in both SoCal and the Lake Tahoe area, so chime in if you have an opinion.
