Help! We've got several misspelled insurance companies. It used to be that you could get rid of them by correcting all the erroneous files. That doesn't seem to work anymore. How can I correct them to reduce our drop-down list of insurance companies? thx :-)

Unfortunately I do not have the answer for this although it is a question that I have a vested interest in as well. Our practice is in PA but we have many patients listed as living in '[A' due to secretarial errors. Any help on eliminating the '[A' option wold be tremendous - as well as the incorrect insurance companies!

This is due to poor programming, no offense intended, as I can't program anything. But, one should be able to put the misspelled word in the field and delete it.

Your idea sounded great. I went to search, chose insurance, and from the list, right-clicked on 3A (which was a typo). That gave me the option to Delete!! I was a happy camper until I closed the list and went back to see if it had really been deleted. It was standing there sticking its tongue out at me and saying nanee nanee boo-boo! :-(
