Hello! My practice is moving forward and wants to maximize our utilization of Amazing Charts and now we are on the topic of patient pictures.

Can anyone else advise what camera they use and their process for taking patient pictures? Any and all advice would be great - thanks so much!

We use a simple web cam at the front desk and the MA's work station for entering the ID photo's. I had one on my laptop that I liked, but it was stolen and currently I take photos of skin lesion's or rashes with my iPhone and enter them to the chart at my desk.

Doggone it, Martin!!! Here I went and copied your system of having a webcam in each room in order to take pics of ditzles and you go on and change on me!!! I do like your new method, however.

I had a digital camera, but it seemed the batteries were always dead. I have been using my cell phone which has higher resolution. I have thought about a webcame at the front for pictures of the patients, but never operationalized that.

I put a webcam at the front desk where patients check in - my receptionist takes there picture when they check in. Good time to check demographics and update as well as add some stupid stuff for the government - like race (I don't care).

We use a web cam at the reception area, and we have a digital camera for taking pictures of other items that can be downloaded and imported into the chart. AC drops the size of the pictures enough that people look squished, but still identifiable.
