Our office does a lot of Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy and we are often creating custom compounded hormone formulations for our patients. Is there a way to add these to the medications database so the doctor doesn't have to type it every time to the medications list?

Any thoughts on how we would add this to a patient's medication list and also to the database so it comes up again without typing the whole thing:

Ex: E21.0mg/E3 0.5mg/T 4mg/ml 1/2 ml qd in 3ml syringes #1mos supply with 5RF

Also, how do you create a "favorites" list for medications?

I feel bad that this hasn't received and suggestions. I don't think there is a known way to enter new medications into the med database, short of AC directly showing you how, but that is very unlikely for various reasons. So, until a method is created of making custom meds try Short Keys http://www.shortkeys.com/lite.htm, and if you're on v5 you can enter those injections as non-HM injections which will appear separately on the summary page..
