A few simple things that I wish AC would do for me:

1)Direct access to Physician's names in the letter writer. If you can look up a physician's name in the Rolodex by typing the first few letters, we should be able to do it in the letter writer. Now, when we type a "D" we have to scroll through all of the D's for the specific name we want.

2)Whenever we close any window, allow us the option to have a pop-up ask us if we really want to do this. If this were an administrative setting that we could turn on and off, that would be great.

3)Stop listing the ICD-9 codes after every order when it is saved into the chart note. It clutters the note and is unnecessary.

4)Give the option designating ml or cc in the number section of the prescription writer.

5)Give us the option of editing the item type list in the imported items section. Right now, we can import and then edit the section title afterwards, but creating a new custom drop-down list would be great.

Come on... how long would it take to make these "simple" changes... 5 to 10 minutes of programming time? (ha, ha) smile

I am also asking for a couple of things in eprescribing. We need to have prn "pain" prn"nausea" etc... for meds, also I am a gynecologist, need to have per vagina or PV for route. Also, noticed that being an gyn doesn't allow for certain med doses. Needs work, cannot remember what specific issues.
