Thanks PDF is small and convenient. I also have Acrobat (not just the Reader) and can manage the files more easily. Greg

I would suggest PDF as well, but your file size is directly related to scan settings - black & white files are smaller than grayscale or color.
The other scan setting to check is DPI (dots per inch) - the more dots, the larger the file, so scan and see what settings work for you.
