What version are you using ?
Version 5 if you send an electronic scrip you can choose based on name, city, state, etc - once you do that with a scrip and then hit save as preferred it will populate the demographics question.

It would be nice to save 2 pharmacies/patient. A local pharmacy and a mail order one.

I have a "stupid" question: how do you e-scribe to a mail-order pharmacy?

Each one makes it different - some make it impossible to find them - others I understand make you sign something, call them, arrange it (Medco) - I have not taken the time to talk with them as I really hate them and find their service deplorable. If you do find out how with Express Scrips or Medco work be sure and post it for all of us.

I did some investigating. All the major mail-order pharmacies are signed up with Sure-Scripts, which AC uses for eRx. To find the mail-order pharmacy on the AC prescription writer, enter the prescription(s), click the PRESCRIBE button. In the "Print/Transmit Prescriptions" window that opens, delete the ZIP code that appears by default. Enter the name of the mail-order plan in the "Pharmacy Name" box (ie: Medco, Prescription Solutions, Express Scripts, CVS Caremark, etc.)
