I can't seem to get the immunizations to save when I use the drop down list in the "HM Immunizations & Shots" tab. If I manually enter the immunization under the "Injections (non-HM)" tab, however, it seem to save. Anyone else with this problem?

No,I've been able to save immunizations if they are on the list in the HM section.

We are also having no problems - if it is reproducible each time - ping guardian angel and have them log on and watch you so they can figure it out.

I have continued to work with this. We give a lot of immunizations and about two thirds of the patients, it works fine with the drop down. However, there are some patients in whom the drop-down menus never save the immunization. I'm going to continue to do some "diagnosis" to see if I can isolate a factor such as prior immunizations, or immunization that has or hasn't been migrated to find differences before I call support.
Another time-consuming problem is that the "non-HM" injections don't seem to build up a default list as immunizations are entered. For instance, prior injections of B12 don't seem to persist in this listing, so that future immunizations can be entered without a lot of typing.

I too have experience that second problem. We have asked that some additional vaccines be added to the system. But I would expect the system to build up a list on non-standard injections that a particular doctor uses.

I have just noted a problem with vaccines in v5. It worked fine initially and I was able to document and save vaccines. Suddenly yesterday I am unable to get the Vacine Name from the list above. In fact, clicking on the list above, the vaccines are all gone. I can go to the same screen on a patient for whom I entered the same vaccine just three days ago and I can access can't access the list but I can find the saved information under the migration tab. I don't understand and have been unable to document vaccines in the vaccine section...suddenly. Help!

Update....I was able to use the screen and enter the vaccine but since v5 the vaccine info is gone even in those charts on the vaccine screen...the fact that I gave the vaccine is documented in the plan on that note and in the summary. I just can't get the immunization screen to work anymore for documenting vaccines which I have been administering daily...this is a problem! Help
The menu does not drop down and I cannot even select a vaccine and when I type it in I get an error that tells me to select a vaccine and I can't select a vaccine because there are none.

Is this the menu in the HM Immuization tab, or the one in the Injections tab? There is no drop down menu in the Injections tab (but maybe there should be.)

When I tried to document immunizations yesterday, I was able. Not able on tuesday. Yesterday I went into health maintanence and made new rule for immunizations for influenza so that will appear on everybody not just those over 65. It is confusing to me. After I did that then I seemed to be able to get the immunization to show up in the immunization tab. Tuesday no immunization would show up in the immunization tab. We have decided to use v5 in beta now as opposed to try to use the new version in a few months when we are very busy. I live in a seasonal community. The vaccine section was smooth in the past. I'm nervous about migration of the old vaccine info into v5 if there is a problem. I've only used AC for 11 months so although I know and love it, I am not familiar with all its subtle features. It used to just feel intuitive and not need instruction but maybe I need instruction.
When I have successfully accessed the vaccines, I have a whole list to choose from. Works like a dropdown menu for me.

...the drop-down ("HM" immunization) menus never save the immunization. This seems to be working now, since the version 5.024 update. ... the "non-HM" injections don't seem to build up a default list as immunizations are entered. For instance, prior injections of B12 don't seem to persist in this listing, so that future immunizations can be entered without a lot of typing. Unfortunately, this still is not working. More "standard" immunizations should be added to the drop-down "HM" menu, until the AC team can get the "non-HM" menu to start saving manually entered "custom" immunizations.

Got a new problem here. We gave a patient a typhoid vaccination. When I printed out a copy of the "vaccine record (thats another problem)" it said Yellow Fever. When I check the detailed information, it does provide all the details on the typhoid vaccination that I recorded. Only when you print the vaccines does it say Yellow Fever. But then I dont have a vaccination record to give to the patient.

This seems to be working now, since the version 5.024 update. I appears I spoke too soon. I was unable to save imunizations on several patients today, while working perfectly on several other patients.

We have been holding off on upgrading to version 5, because of worries with immunizations. Thanks

This is something that I only see if entering NON HM shots like B12 - the drop downs do not save previous ones. My immunizations work fine and I have been having my staff enter all of my pt. old immunizations that were not in AC....no issues.

I am still having occasional problems with the HM immunizations. For instance, the Zostavax shots always save, and when pulling up the menu item for Zostavax on the next patient, the fields are populated with the data based on the last one given. On the other hand, the H1N1 vaccine usually (although not always) saves, but never saves the lot number, etc, for the next time. I haven't been able to discern a pattern, ie whether the patient has prior immunizations as yet not migrated in, or no prior immunizations.
I have run the database tuner when upgrading to 5.024, and have run Amazing Utilities several times without benefit. I assume, since others aren't having this problem, that somehow I have some database corruption.
Anyway, I can't spend any time for now, since I have hundreds of patients with non-codified meds to correct.

I have two problems. My PPDs don't migrate. Sure, its not an immunization but you need to record all that info so it should be there. Also, we gave a typhoid vaccination and it shows it as yellow fever.

HELP!!! upgraded to version 5 today, all vaccines that we have given in the past are not intergrating into the new vaccine section. We have had AC for 3 years and have seen many babies since birth. The vaccines will show up in each individual visit, but don't show in the vaccine section. Please tell me I don't have to type each individual one in.

Did you enter vaccines in the past under the immunizations. If so go into a chart - bring up Health Maintenance and go to Migration - pick the ones you want to migrate to (since you may have put Dip-Tet and they want which one). Hit migrate and it will go through and do these. One extra step, but no big deal. Then should be in summary sheet under injections.

I've found that vaccines that don't appear - will sometimes show up if you type the first few letters of the vaccine in the HM:Immunizations window as if you were going to search for a vaccine.. then poof: there it is.

John, Did you ever get your Imms to save in the HM section? I'm having the same problem with v5.026. When entering new imms, they show up in the plan and can be found in the summary section, but not in the HM section. Also, weirdly, TDaP entered once is recorded twice in the summary section as TDap and TD with the same date. Dave

Spoke with Nick at support today. I didn't realize the "Shot History" window only populates if you search for the vaccine in the (blank) "Vaccine Name" window at the top. Okay. Seems like that big blank "Shot History" window at the bottom would be a great place to have all the shots populated without having to seek them out one by one. Of course there's always the summary tab...

Do we still need to migrate the old vaccines for EVERY patient as they come in in order to get them to show up???

Pediatricians may not have noticed this yet but the influenza shots show up twice if the pt is both "high risk" and "over age 65". That's a bug.
