Here is a question that is specific to those who use Paperport 11 and Vista. When I delete an item within paperport I get a popup that says "are you sure you want to permanently delete this file?" It does not ask me if I want to move it to the recycling bin. It happens with all types of files and does not happen if I try to delete a file outside of paperport. I have been through all the options/preferences in Paperport and cannot find anything to fix this. When I Right click on my desk top recycling bin the appropriate box is unchecked so that items are not permanently deleted. Any ideas? Thanks.

yes, Paul. I think you are right. The answer is that you cannot move a file that is stored on one computer to a recycle bin on another computer. Makes sense. The work around was that I added a "To Delete" folder on paperport and we will move stuff there first to give us a grace period to change our mind. Thanks for your input.

No problem, hope it's not too cold up in Santa Fe! It has been terribly windy in Roswell today and yesterday!

We have been having all kinds of issues with Paperport 12 and Win 7, where it freezes so frequently. I am having tough time trying to nail down the issue.
This normally happens when multiple people are working to a network folder where we get all our faxes and docs
If someone has Papperport 12 and Vista/Win 7 working would love to hear. This is especially when working over files on the network drive

How is everyone using Paperport- as a parallel program, or integrated with AC?

It is not integrated with AC. We use it as part of the Brother multifunction fax, but I was having problems in one office and separately loaded V11 of Paperport. It makes it easy to monitor faxes and other documents, but I only use it as a fax viewer mostly.

I usually drag the file to the recycle bin icon in the paperport tray below--then it will put it in the recycle bin.

It only goes into the recycle bin on the computer that holds the original file. If you drag it to the recycle bin on any other computer, the file will be permanently deleted.
