Wishing V5.0 pemitted directing/addressing Orders (e.g. Labs) to people outside the practice. This is possible in the Referrals section. (Presumably efforts are underway to allow them to go electronically?) I.E. add Laboratories to the Practice Rolodex, and have the order printed with the Lab's address etc. and the practice's account/ID number with that lab.

Sounds like a reasonable next step! It is called a "bi-directional" lab interface and it is available on a few EMR's, most labs accept this and will pay the fee for it but AC does not support yet. Sounds like a nice way for AC to make more money! (Hint: good business decision AC developers!)
