Hi, I would like to know if e mails can be sent in the amazing charts from outside (not within AC). I want our transcription service to send patient's transcribed report into Amazing chart so I can correct the transcripion and sign it within the AC. Is this possible? Thank you Iqubal

http://www.apractissolutions.com/AboutUs.htmlGo to UpDox. It integrates with AC, and is probably the only way to do what you are proposing. Then talk to Andrew Barbarsh, MD. He will literally spend hours with you on the phone explaining how it works. Good luck. abarbash@onebox.com Cheers!

You can do that - but it's still a pain, because they're going to be IMPORTED ITEMS - NOT CHART NOTES!!!
When we had a transcriptionist, we set up mailboxes IN AMAZING CHARTS. She had one for her in-box from me, and I had one for her print queue back from her. She accessed the system with Ultra-VNC, and actually typed into one of our machines from home. When she was done, she'd forward the chart to my print queue to edit and then send to the printer. This worked VERY well.
Because some of the contents of the chart note came from templates and some of it I typed, there wasn't really any easy way to get an accurate line count. I paid her by the hour a rate that was about what she made typing and billing by the line.
I'd be happy to help you get it all set up if you'd like.
Regards,
V.

This is an interesting concept. We use secure messaging with our patients. It would be nice to be able to interface our secure messaging with amazing charts so that the messages could be saved as a type of addendum. Currently, we use Medem, but we are contemplating a change to RelayHealth since a couple of insurers are covering Online Consultations through RelayHealth (Empire BCBS and GHI. Oh, and CIGNA for Medicare).
